Humid and meso-hygrophile heaths of gley-podsols and semi-peaty soils of the northwestern Iberian peninsula, Atlantic France, the Paris Basin and its periphery, extreme southern England, dominated by Erica tetralix or Erica ciliaris, with Erica scoparia, Erica ciliaris, Calluna vulgaris, Ulex minor, Ulex gallii or Genista anglica. They may, in particular, form transition belts between peaty heaths of unit F4.11 and dry heaths of unit F4.2.
