Description
Restricted Picea abies forests of subalpine affinities of the Jura, comprising truly subalpine formations of the Haut-Jura, well developed but of small extent because of relatively low altitude and competition with Pinus uncinata formations, tall herb spruce forests as well as cold station or "ice cellar" formations similar to those of the northern outer Alps.
