Cytisus purgans-dominated formations of higher levels (upper montane, subalpine, oro-Mediterranean) of southwestern European mountains, often associated with dwarf juniper scrubs (31.43) or hedgehog-heaths (31.7), and physiognomically reminiscent of the latter.
